Scribbled Thoughts

The shortest month is upon yet so much has happened already. Seems like the nation went snow crazy last week and every Tom, Dick and Harry ejaculated in their pants like a 15 year old, puberty stricken child. As the cold, white, sticky stuff coated our little peninsula it forced people to go out and in some unexplainable sheep like frenzy and make snowpeople (have to PC these days, never know who's reading) or get undressed like this crazy vixen.

Nonetheless, Feb 2^nd was the day London stood still, and living proof that Great Britain is quite possibly the most ill-prepared country in the world when adapting to change in weather: Too much rain and the river banks and damns go bust, too much heat and we're not allowed to water the plants and wash our cars, too much snow and the governments pride and joy, public transport, dies on its feet! What next?! Extreme winds forces Brits to live in underground tunnels!

But enough about yesterdays news, we're just under a week away from the cheesiest day of the year. Yep that's right - Valentine's Day, now I could go on about how overhyped, unnecessary and downright pointless it is but this twat seems to have hit the nail on the head, albeit in an annoying and self pitiful manner.

So the blokes a heartbroken eccentric – explains the crazy rant, but there is some truth in what he's saying. As an aspiring Ad-man I would be the first to defend the industry but Feb 14^th is just a marketer's pay day. Another excuse to sell something to people that don't necessarily need it in over powering manner. 'Cos let's face how much does 695 calorie box of chocolates say i love you?! My point exactly!

But to end on a good note the last week of February does bring with it a tasty delight, Shrove Tuesday or Pancake Day – now I'm not Christian but if I were to pick and choose different religious days to participate in this would be in the top ten. Any excuse to over indulge is welcomed by most no one more so than me. As a lover of the pan made cakes 24^th February is day i remember being able to get away with eating high quantities of sugar on top of what essentially is fried bread and not get a bollocking from the parents, nowadays I like it 'cos there's less washing up to do and I won't feel guilty 'cos half the population will be doing it! All hail the pancake!
